Why I Finally Decided to FabFitFun
I’ve LOVED getting my FabFitFun boxes so I’m super happy to announce that they’ve accepted me as a partner! To me, a subscription box was a way to give myself a treat every few months without really thinking about it or planning it.
I really enjoy trying new beauty products and I’m obviously into fitness and health so this box was a good way for me to incorporate both things into one self-care package every season. I love that it surprises you with what you’re getting but you can also customize it too.
FabFitFun is approximately $49 every three months but you get $200 worth of products. Now, I’m on a student budget. This wasn’t money I really wanted to spend. To be honest, I’m the type of person who NEVER spends money on myself. So, after a few months of really wanting the box, I decided to go for it. I made the choice to see it in a different way: that this box would be part of my self-care routine. I mean, if you’re going to treat yourself…why not treat yourself to $200 worth of beauty products for 1/4 of the price?
How Does it Work?
The photo above is what a typical box looks like (except this one comes with a super cool clutch and a muscle massager). The FabFitFun subscription service works like this: you have four seasonal boxes every year which you can customize and chose what products/colours of palettes, etc. that you want. If you happen to sign up between seasons, you don’t have to wait for the next box, you get sent what they call an Editor’s Box. This has tons of products from previous boxes, as well as a few cute items, form the current one. It’s a pretty good way to sample sorts of things they give you.
When you sign up you also get access to an exclusive member-only community with videos, articles, and more.
What I Like About It
To me, my favourite thing wasn’t even the products, it was the cost card they give you. I get such a thrill out of seeing that one single skincare product can cost more than the entire box itself! Whoever curates the box, if you read this: well done. The items are always top brands and FULL-SIZE products.
I also love the variety. The products are mostly beauty-related but there’s the fitness element that actually was the final pushing point for me to sign up. The most recent editor’s box had a gym bag (you can see it above) and the most recent winter box had an exercise ball and muscle soak!
I also like that you can customize. Especially for the fashion items. Without this, I probably wouldn’t have signed up for the box. Everyone has different taste in colours and patterns so what will work for some may not work for others. I think the customization is a really good feature and I hope they continue to allow you to customize.
I’m obviously a huge fan of the box or I wouldn’t be a partner of FabFitFunbut there are things I want to be honest about, too.
What I Don’t Like About It
First thing, I don’t like that it’s every three months. I would personally rather get a few products every month than a huge haul every three months. But maybe that’s just me.
I also don’t like that there are sometimes products that I, myself, wouldn’t use. I mean, since they’re full-size products they still make good gifts but I’d rather always get things that I like.
I LOVE FabFitFun. That’s why I sought them out to be a partner. They didn’t come to me, I went to them because I honestly think this box can really improve your self-care routines. I wanted to offer to my readers something that you guys can use to treat yourself with, that I’ve personally tried and can support. (I also want to add that I’ve never had an issue with the box getting lost or not being on time).
As always, feel free to ask questions. I’d love to talk about my FabFitFun experience!
